1998.5-2000 Dodge Cummins:

If you buy an ADR1001 kit or an ADR1002 kit for your 1998.5 to 2000 Dodge Cummins the most obvious piece of equipment you will need to get is the MAP adapter. The map adapter you will need for your truck has a part number of D-7225-2.

This map sensor adapter will plug in to the main wiring harness into the flat 3-pin Deutsch connector with the red/black, light blue, and dark blue wires that looks like this:

If your truck is a 1998.5 or 1999 you will probably need the data-link adapter as well. Most 2000 trucks do not, however, make sure you know where your data-link connection is and what type it is before you decide you don't need the data-link adapter. The data-link adapter is part number D-7225-4. This data-link adapter will adapt from the flat 3-pin Delphi connector to a triangular 3-pin Deutsch connector. The reverse adapter is used on the XZT.

The last thing that you need to do is to pull a jumper off of the main board. This jumper sets the voltage on the boost fooler to differentiate between the 1998-2000 MAP sensor and the 2001 and 2002 MAP sensors. The 2001 and 2002 MAP sensors both use the same voltage that differs from the 1998.5-2000 MAP sensor.

Remove the jumper completely or place it as shown below:

2001 Dodge Cummins

If you purchase an ADR1000 kit or ADR1002 kit for your 2001 Dodge Cummins, you will need the right MAP adapter. The MAP adapter's part number is D-7225-3.

You will also need to make sure that the jumper is in place on the main board. If your Adrenaline main board is missing its jumper, you can request one when purchasing the MAP adapter directly from Quadzilla and we will include it in the package. The jumper should be placed on both pins as shown below:
